About The Position

As an airline high lift truck operator or aircraft loader operator, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading cargo, baggage, and other materials onto and off of aircraft using a high lift truck. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record as we will run an MVR. Starting pay $17.00. Weekly pay. Must be able to work weekends as part of schedule.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with zero points or tickets within the last 5 years.
  • Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading cargo and baggage from aircraft using high lift trucks.
  • Positioning the high lift truck at the aircraft, securing the work platform, and handling the loading and unloading.
  • Complying with standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding driving and positioning the unit at the aircraft, and ensuring safety protocols are followed during operations.
  • Interacting with customer service team members, flight attendants, and other airport operations staff to identify and resolve any complications.
  • Maintaining basic logs and records of their activities.
  • Pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds regularly, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
