About The Position

The School Champion will work to ensure the High Dosage Tutoring program, specifically Ignite Reading or an equivalent, is successfully operating within their assigned school for the 26-27 school year. This role involves pre-launch preparations, supporting launch week logistics, and ongoing program monitoring to optimize student participation and success. The position is open at multiple school locations: ELC, Kelly, Hooks, Soko, and Berkowitz.

Requirements

Must be a CPS Educator at a school participating in Ignite.
Must be familiar with the Ignite program.

Responsibilities

Fill out necessary Student Roster information and submit it on time to Ignite Reading.
Identify Ignite Reading spaces within the school building.
Work with leadership to procure and organize materials such as markers, whiteboards, buddy blockers, and headphones.
Collaborate with leadership to communicate schedule and transition plans to teachers, ensuring students are prepared and on time for Ignite Reading sessions.
Schedule and attend monthly data meetings with the Ignite Reading Literacy Specialist.
Schedule requisite implementation meetings prior to program launch.
Support the collection of permission slips for student participation.
Support all Launch Week logistics, including student transitions and logging into tutoring sessions.
Assist in finalizing student rosters based on individual student DIBELS data.
Read and respond to emails from the Ignite Reading team regarding program implementation success.
Proactively reach out to Ignite Reading as issues emerge to ensure program optimization and best results for students.
Consistently monitor rosters for students who move or graduate to ensure all seats remain filled.
