About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join their elite First Response Nursing Team. This team will provide immediate staffing support for complex Workers’ Compensation and high-acuity cases in home care environments across Las Vegas, Henderson, and Boulder City. Nurses on this team will support clients with advanced medical needs, including trach and ventilator care, TBI care, Hoyer lift transfers, PEG tubes, and complex mobility needs. The team is designed for rapid response to new cases requiring immediate staffing, and nurses receive premium incentive pay for the first 30 days of a client's care.

Requirements

  • Active Nevada RN or LPN license with minimum 2 years nursing experience.
  • Experience with high-acuity or medically complex clients strongly preferred.
  • Experience with trach/vent care preferred.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Current Physical Exam.
  • Current 2-Step TB Test or Chest X-Ray if applicable.
  • Ability to walk, bend, lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance.
  • Must be comfortable working in homes with pets (approximately 95% of clients have pets).
  • Must be comfortable completing electronic charting and documentation accurately and timely.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills required.
  • Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.
  • All credentials and compliance requirements must be completed before consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate staffing support for complex Workers’ Compensation and high-acuity cases.

  • Maintain flexible availability for rapid starts and urgent staffing needs.
