HHA / STNA - Help People at Home - Stark + Summit County

Haven Home CareEast Canton, OH
Onsite

About The Position

Haven Home Care is hiring caregivers to help people in their homes with daily life activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, and running errands. The role primarily involves assisting older adults to maintain their independence. This is a physical job requiring caregivers to be on their feet most of the day and assist clients with mobility. Caregivers do not administer medication or perform medical tasks. Most Home Health Aides work with 2-4 regular clients, building relationships over time. The company operates in 22 cities across Stark and Summit Counties in Ohio, with a higher concentration of clients in the Summit County (Akron area). Caregiver assignments are based on client needs and caregiver-defined limits regarding travel distance, pets, smoking, and availability. Flexibility in these limits can lead to faster placement and more hours. Reliability is tested with fill-in shifts during the first two weeks, after which permanent clients are assigned. Additional hours can be picked up through fill-in shifts. Limits can be adjusted by notifying the company.
