About The Position

This role involves providing in-home assistance to individuals, primarily older adults, helping them with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, running errands, and providing companionship. The work is physical, requiring caregivers to be on their feet and assist clients with mobility. Caregivers do not administer medication or perform medical tasks. Most caregivers work with a consistent set of 2-4 regular clients, fostering strong relationships. The company operates in 22 cities across Stark and Summit Counties in Ohio, with a higher concentration of clients in the Akron area (Summit County).

Requirements

  • Driver's license
  • Own car with insurance that covers work driving
  • Pass background checks
  • Work at least 20 hours/week
  • Available between 6AM-8PM
  • Legal right to work in the US
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • STNA license (active or expired) for Option 1
  • HHA certificate (30+ hours, signed by RN or completed online) for Option 2
  • 1+ year of experience at one company where supervisor was an RN or LPN for Option 3
  • Willingness to help people for Option 4 (free training)

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily life activities such as bathing and dressing.
  • Prepare meals for clients.
  • Perform light cleaning in clients' homes.
  • Run errands for clients.
  • Provide companionship to clients.
  • Assist clients with mobility.
  • Follow company policies.
  • Report incidents within 24 hours.
  • Answer office calls and texts quickly.
  • Send updated documents when requested.
  • Complete feedback forms when sent.
  • Pick up extra fill-in shifts.
  • Attend to clients in Stark and Summit Counties.
  • Complete online orientation and document verification.
  • Undergo fingerprinting.
  • Pass a competency test (written and skills demonstration) unless an STNA or have prior passing HHA test results.
  • Verify identity and work authorization by showing original documents on camera during orientation.
