About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking dedicated HHAs to provide exceptional in-home care throughout Westside Cuyahoga County and surrounding communities. We offer flexible scheduling, steady client assignments, supportive leadership, and opportunities for career growth. Whether you're seeking full-time, part-time, PRN, weekday, weekend, or 12-hour shifts, we have opportunities available to fit your schedule. Current Schedule Include: Location: Hinkley, Medina Monday–Thursday: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM Friday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Location: North Ridgeville Schedule Thursday and Friday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience preferred
- HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with client mobility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while following client care plans
- Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support
- Prepare meals and provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Accompany clients to appointments and community activities when needed
- Observe and report changes in client condition to the care team
- Follow individualized care plans and agency protocols
