About The Position

The Systems Integration Lead oversees end‑to-end integration of Hexagon enterprise software across corporate and project environments. This role ensures systems connect correctly, interface with upstream and downstream applications, are successfully adopted by users, and are supported after deployment. The position partners with IT, Engineering, Quality, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Construction, and external vendors to ensure solutions meet business requirements, data and security standards, and project schedules. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives across all Matrix Service Company operating units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise software technical implementation roles.
  • Hands‑on experience deploying system platforms or comparable EPC/industrial systems.
  • Understanding of construction, commissioning, quality, or project execution workflows.
  • Experience coordinating across IT, project teams, vendors, and functional stakeholders.
  • Strong project management, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to be in the office at least 4 days a week and travel to office and project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration of first-of-a-kind and project-specific Hexagon software solutions, including but not limited to Smart Completions, SDx, EcoSys, Jovix, Smart Materials, iConstruct, and related modules.
  • Establish a method for describing units of work for data integration points, both during system validation and individual project deployments, that can be used as units of measure for the overall backlog of integrations.
  • Establish and validate integrations with engineering (e.g. AVEVA), procurement (Penta), materials, quality, and project controls systems (Penta).
  • Coordinate stakeholder data needs and performance requirements at each application to build a backlog of required integration points, including a prioritized backlog of integrations requiring IT support.
  • Maintain a schedule of integrations; manage and report on integration backlog progress with visual aids.
  • Track risks, issues, dependencies, and integration progress, escalating as needed.
  • Define, communicate, train, and audit compliance with data quality rules in each affected application. Prepare and maintain technical visual aids representing data integrations, to be used for training and everyday use of the Hexagon applications.
  • Own project deployment plans from pre‑installation readiness through go‑live and post‑deployment stabilization.
  • Validate infrastructure readiness, prerequisites, integrations, and data flows prior to project deployment.
  • Partner with IT to ensure compliance with security, cloud, and access control standards.
  • Coordinate with Hexagon vendors and system integrators on integration issue resolution.
  • Align deployment and integration activities with project schedules, commissioning milestones, and turnover requirements.
  • Support data migration, configuration of master data, and alignment to corporate data standards.
  • Validate system outputs, reports, and workflows meet operational and quality requirements.
  • Support user acceptance testing and deployment sign‑off.
  • Develop, maintain and coordinate training of deployment playbooks, checklists, and SOPs
  • Support field onboarding, early‑use troubleshooting during go‑live periods.
  • Enforce deployment standards, naming conventions, access models, and documentation practices.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.
  • Support the achievement of goals of the Business Process Improvement program, to include implementation, evaluation of results, and tools and methods for conducting these activities.
