About The Position

The HR Systems & Integration Lead oversees operational project management for HR initiatives and serves as the technical liaison for People Operations systems. This role partners cross-functionally with HR, IT, business leaders, and external vendors to gather requirements, support system implementations and integrations, optimize processes, troubleshoot system and data issues, and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of HR systems.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) Business, Information Technology, Engineering or a related area.
  • 6 years of experience in project management, HRIS, and or support HR Technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with business stakeholders to develop complex business requirements and align with the technical architecture.
  • Proven experience leading system and integration implementations.
  • Excellent technical documentation skills including the ability to develop detailed business process flows and supporting text as well as high level documentation and presentations for non-technical business personnel.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, including ability to prioritize project tasks, manage risks/issues and communicate status.
  • Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of subject matter experts, managers, and executives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with employees at all level and develop effective working relationships across the company.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting as well as independently with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to build strong relationships within HR and across company.

  • Experience with system integrations, data migrations and implementations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and disseminate information on Company policies to employees and management.
  • Ability to translate business process owner requirements into technical requirements as well as being able to explain technical items in layman terms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide business systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems (UKG Pro, Workday), Greenhouse ATS, Cornerstone Talent Management Suite is preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws that affect HR policies and procedures, including EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and other regulatory and compliance laws is preferred.
  • Knowledge of full HR and payroll lifecycle processes is preferred.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI or Certified Project Manager (IAPM) is preferred.
  • Experience working in JIRA or similar ticketing/project management tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees operational project management for HR initiatives, managing multiple projects—including assessments, integrations, enhancements, upgrades, and enterprise level implementations. Partners with internal HR functional teams (e.g. benefits and payroll), IT PMO office, component companies HR as well as vendors and external partners to drive successful project execution and improve day to day operations.
  • Serve as the lead technical liaison for all People Operations systems, ensuring alignment between HR, IT, and business needs.
  • Work with HR business process owners and business leaders to gather and document system requirements that drive system development and implementation, including the development of SOPs as applicable. Understands cross-functional, upstream and downstream dependencies, and impacts and ensures process owners and leaders understand as well.
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimizations.
  • Drive root cause analysis and resolution for data, integration, process, or system issues; partnering with all relevant partners.
  • Stay current with existing technologies and system enhancements, providing consultative guidance on capabilities, best practices, and opportunities to improve People Operations systems.
