The Hemodialysis Technician is an unlicensed health care provider responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse in the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment within scope of practice. Requirements
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Hemodialysis Technician Certification, or equivalent training.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- One year of hemodialysis experience preferred.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Registered Nurse in the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment within scope of practice.
- Maintenance and disinfection of dialysis equipment.
- Ordering and stocking supplies necessary for in-patient dialysis treatment.
- Monitoring and cleaning supply area.
- Other duties as assigned.
