About The Position
The Hemodialysis Technician is an unlicensed health care provider who assists the Registered Nurse in caring for patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment, within the technician’s scope of practice. The role includes maintaining and disinfecting dialysis equipment, ordering and stocking supplies needed for inpatient dialysis treatment, and monitoring and cleaning the supply area. Other duties may be assigned. This is a full-time position in the Hemodialysis Department at Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois. The listed schedule is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays; the shift is also described as variable.
Requirements
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Hemodialysis Technician Certification or equivalent training.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- One year of hemodialysis experience.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.
Responsibilities
