About The Position

NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hemodialysis RN to join their team at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institute located in Torrington, WY. This role involves providing direct patient care within a correctional healthcare setting.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within WY.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Hemodialysis Staff RN in a healthcare setting.
• Active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association required).
• Strong clinical assessment skills.
• Strong IV insertion skills.
• Strong medication administration skills.
• Strong emergency response skills.
• Understanding of renal physiology, the causes and progression of kidney disease, and the principles of hemodialysis.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Integrity, professionalism.
• Ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct.
• Ability to comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Correctional healthcare experience preferred.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or other relevant certifications may be preferred.
• Previous experience working in a correctional facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a Hemodialysis RN.
• Utilize strong clinical assessment skills.
• Perform IV insertion.
• Administer medications.
• Respond to emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
• Adhere to a Code of Conduct.
• Comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Familiarity with security protocols and procedures in a correctional facility.
