About The Position

If you’re an Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) passionate about delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered cancer care in a close‑knit community setting, the Allina Health Cancer Institute (AHCI) invites you to join our growing team in Cambridge, Minnesota. Located just north of the Twin Cities, Cambridge offers the opportunity to practice advanced oncology care while building meaningful, long‑term relationships with patients and families. You’ll be part of a collaborative, physician‑led care model supported by the resources, innovation, and clinical excellence of a nationally respected cancer program serving Minnesota and western Wisconsin. This is a 0.8 FTE Hematology/Oncology Advanced Practice Provider position, open to Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA). The role is outpatient-focused with inpatient collaboration as needed, managing patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. You will work closely with hematologist/oncologists, infusion teams, nurse navigators, and support services, utilizing Epic EMR for coordinated care. Allina Health Cancer Institute offers a Privademic care model, a team of over 100 oncology specialists, 18 comprehensive cancer care locations, a multidisciplinary approach to treatments with tumor boards, a multi-center research program (Phase 1-3 trials), an in-house genomic laboratory, industry-leading integrative oncology and high-risk cancer surveillance programs, and the use of AI tools for documentation and diagnosis support. Requirements

  • Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Oncology as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP)
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty or Certified Physician Assistant - (NCCPA) - National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants within specialty upon hire required.
  • BLS - Multisource required within 180 Days
  • Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations as part of a physician/nurse team in accordance with the designated specialty.
  • Works in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team.
  • Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff and multidisciplinary health care team.
