About The Position

This is an ongoing coverage need for a Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). The role is primarily outpatient, seeing an average of 10-12 patients per day. The practice includes one physician and one APP. The schedule is 4 days per week, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends or call required. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. The EMR system used is EPIC. Credentialing is expected to take 60-90 days. This position is for a long-term permanent search.

Requirements

Active New Hampshire licensure
Board certification
AHA BLS certification
Minimum 1-year Hematology/Oncology experience or equivalent
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics) OR Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program
Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in New Hampshire OR Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in New Hampshire
National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP]) OR National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
At least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
