About The Position

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Hematologist Oncologist to join a thriving academic practice in Southern New Jersey. This position is based at Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May County, serving as an extension of the MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. The practice is very busy with a thriving hematology and oncology practice, covering all aspects of general hematology and oncology, including inpatient and outpatient services, as well as an infusion center. This role is part of an integrated cancer program with on-site surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and a full complement of support services. The main Cooper campus in Camden, NJ, also offers a high-volume program with subspecialty outpatient care, multidisciplinary clinical teams, and associated subspecialty services. Inpatient care at Cooper University Hospital includes inpatient chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, and cellular therapy services. The position offers the opportunity to join the faculty of Cooper Medical School at Rowan University and participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Completion of residency in Internal Medicine
Completion of fellowship training in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
Board certified or board eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology
Active and unrestricted medical license in New Jersey
DEA certification and ability to prescribe controlled substances

Responsibilities

Practice a full range of Hematology/Oncology.
Provide inpatient and outpatient care, including infusion center services.
Participate in conferences and teach medical students, residents, and hematology/oncology fellows.
Deliver inpatient care at Cooper University Hospital, including inpatient chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, and cellular therapy services.
