About The Position

OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center is seeking a Hematologist/Medical Oncologist in Rockford, Illinois. This role is part of a well-respected, robust oncology/radiation oncology clinic that is expanding its regional growth and outreach with satellite clinics within 60 miles of the Center for Cancer Care. The position offers the opportunity to join a team of five hematology/oncology physicians, three APPs, two radiation oncologists, and additional surgical and trauma providers. The Center for Cancer Care is attached to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center. The center provides a comprehensive range of onsite services, including National Cancer Institute and pharma clinical trials, high-risk genetics, navigation, and oral adherence management. Radiation therapies include stereotactic radiosurgery, IMRT, VMAT, high-dose rate brachytherapy, and radiopharmaceuticals. Medical and Hematologic therapies encompass chemo and immunotherapy, antibiotics and hydration, blood cell transfusions, and pain management. Call is shared equally, promoting a healthy work-life balance. H1-B and J-1 candidates are welcome to apply.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree.
  • Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
  • Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies).
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • Must meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
  • Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hematology and medical oncology services.
  • Participate in regional growth and outreach initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, APPs, and other providers.
  • Engage in clinical trials and other specialized services offered at the Center for Cancer Care.
  • Share call duties equally with other physicians.
