About The Position

ABW Technologies Inc. is a leader in the Aerospace, Defense, Nuclear and Energy industries, located in Arlington, WA. We are seeking a Helper to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to start a career in the metal fabrication industry with high pay, a local commute, and outstanding benefits. The Helper will assist shop personnel as directed by a supervisor or production manager.

Requirements

• Three to six months of related experience and/or training or a one-year certificate from a college or technical school or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions.
• Intermediate math skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform duties with close vision and depth perception.
• Ability to work in a loud environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting shop personnel as directed by supervisor or production manager.
• Moving and positioning materials at the worksite with the help of other workers.
• Packaging products for shipping.
• Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning facilities.
• Cleaning and/or painting plant equipment.
• Occasionally delivering or picking up deliveries in company vehicles.
• Assisting shop personnel in the manufacturing of products.
