About The Position
GlacierPoint Enterprises is a leader in the ice cream distribution industry, primarily delivering ice cream, but also delivering frozen food, beverages, and a variety of other products to a host of customers on the East Coast. As a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) organization, we deliver product from our supplier/distributor directly to a retail store, thereby bypassing a retailer’s distribution center. We operate out of over 20 facilities covering New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and the Carolinas with a rapidly expanding footprint.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background screens.
- Ability to pass a Physical Capacity Test
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Assist route delivery drivers by unloading and stocking product during routes.
- Ride with route delivery driver and help with directions.
- Help the driver fulfill customer’s needs by delivering customer orders to their locations.
- Make certain stops with the driver to deliver product, and stock or display in the proper location.
- Use necessary safety equipment, required by the company, for your safety and the safety of others.
- Follow proper safety requirements, such as proper lifting techniques to repetitively pick-up product and frequent reaching to stock product.
- Maintain good customer relations on a daily one-to-one basis.
- Safely lift to 50 pounds of product for transferring and carrying.
- Drive, stand, and walk frequently throughout the day and for long periods of time.
- Push and pull frequently, with bending and twisting and frequent use of gross hand and finger movement.
