Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 65 lbs regularly, and move up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or valid driver’s license is a plus, but not required!

Responsibilities

• Safely collect solid waste and recyclables from customer premises and curbside locations.
• Assist drivers with safe vehicle operations, including navigating tight spots and backing up.
• Load waste into collection vehicles and operate compaction equipment safely.
• Audit trucks before heading out to ensure all required equipment (brooms, shovels, safety gear) is on board.
• Perform equipment checks, follow company and federal/state safety guidelines, and wear proper PPE at all times.
• Tag prohibited waste items, report route issues promptly, and represent GFL with a friendly, professional demeanor.
