About The Position

This position is for a Helper Rodbuster with a focus on reinforced ironworker tasks. The role involves fabricating and positioning equipment according to blueprints and supervisor instructions. Responsibilities include identifying tools, assessing safety risks, and performing tasks such as cutting, bending, and welding iron/steel pieces. The job requires the ability to work at heights, in various weather conditions, and adhere to safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage. Requirements

• Must have 2 plus years of helper reinforced ironworker experience
• Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
• Must be able to work at heights more than 300 ft.
• Must have all required tools.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee.
• Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
• National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter.
• Formal/Technical education.
• Experience working with scaffolding, insulation, and painting.

Responsibilities

• Identify all tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
• Fabricate equipment according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Position and secure equipment such as rebar, mesh, end caps using bending machines, hand tools, fasteners and other metal working methods and tools.
• Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, bending tools and welding equipment.
