Primary Purpose PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Under direct supervision in a field crew, to perform groundwork associated with construction, repair, or maintenance of overhead lines. In addition, perform the less-skilled manual operations as a member of a crew in connection with the Construction and Maintenance work on the overhead system. Must be able to work outdoors in wind, rain, sleet, cold, heat, snow, etc. and perform manual work such as digging and back filling, removing dirt and debris, mixing cement, perform minor assembling and dismantling operations of equipment, cutting weeds and shoveling snow. Must have the ability to climb and work at heights with hand tools and power tools from various positions on ladders and structures. Must be able to drive trucks with and without trailers. Must possess excellent work performance, attendance, and safety record. Overtime work, which includes responding to callouts, is required.
