About The Position

This role involves material handling, machine operation, inspection, packing, and basic maintenance of aluminum products and equipment. The Helper I will be responsible for preparing materials, operating various machines, ensuring product quality, and maintaining production records.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Ability to operate equipment including stretchers, saws, Pallet jack, hoist.
Ability to install and change jaw grips.
Ability to use tail stock controls and transfer equipment.
Ability to clean saw chip collection systems and perform basic equipment maintenance.
Ability to inspect final products for specification compliance.
Ability to check product dimensions and quality throughout the process.
Ability to prepare containers and materials for packing.
Ability to pack and weigh finished products.
Ability to maintain production records, charts, and required documentation.
Ability to perform limited maintenance tasks (e.g., tightening bolts, changing rollers, lubrication).
Ability to assist with painting and general upkeep of equipment and work area.

Responsibilities

Stretch, pre-roll, roll-straighten, and contour aluminum products.
Shear metal to rough cut length for subsequent operations.
Prepare aluminum products for heat treatment.
Drain and refill lubricant tanks; change saw blades.
Operate equipment including stretchers, saws, Pallet jack, hoist.
Install and change jaw grips.
Use tail stock controls and transfer equipment.
Clean saw chip collection systems and perform basic equipment maintenance.
Inspect final products for specification compliance.
Check product dimensions and quality throughout the process.
Prepare containers and materials for packing.
Pack and weigh finished products.
Maintain production records, charts, and required documentation.
Perform limited maintenance tasks (e.g., tightening bolts, changing rollers, lubrication).
Assist with painting and general upkeep of equipment and work area.
