About The Position

The Helper~General Laborer works as part of a team supporting a manufacturing operation, with the goal of increasing productivity and decreasing downtime and waste. The position takes an active role in plant and facilities-related work and assists with jobs throughout the plant floor. The role follows company safety rules and lock-out/tag-out procedures and maintains the shop and shop equipment according to 5S Standards. Other duties may be assigned. The position may require stacking parts weighing up to 30 pounds for periods of up to 12 hours.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Passion for maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Willingness to work all shifts.
• Good attendance record.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work closely day to day with other production personnel.
• Ability to share ideas with others to solve important problems.
• Excellent communication skills, including strong verbal communication.
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
• Sense of urgency in reducing machine downtime.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
• Understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.
