About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate helper to support a client with advanced dementia who is wheelchair-bound and bed-bound. The client weighs approximately 100 lbs (5'0") and requires hands-on personal care, including wound care and repositioning. This role is best suited for a helper with strong hands-on care experience, particularly in bed-bound care and wound management, who can provide consistent, gentle, and attentive support.

Requirements

• Experience with advanced dementia care
• Skilled in wound care and skin integrity management
• Comfortable with transfers and bed-bound care
• Patient, attentive, and compassionate
• Physically capable of assisting with repositioning and mobility

Responsibilities

• Provide morning and evening personal care (changing, cleaning; keep pull-ups off as instructed)
• Perform wound care and apply prescribed creams
• Assist with repositioning to prevent bed sores
• Support transfers (bed ↔ wheelchair) using proper techniques
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Provide shower assistance (with shower chair if needed)
• Ensure comfort, dignity, and safety at all times
