One of our Clients in Colorado Springs, CO needs a Helpdesk Technician for a fulltime position.

Requirements

  • Mid-Level Help Desk Technician
  • Provide onsite Tier I/II technical support to USASMDC G6 users
  • Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of enterprise IT systems, hardware, software, peripherals, and network-connected devices.
  • Operate within the centralized Help Desk
  • Provide timely troubleshooting, ticket management, system configuration, user assistance, and technical guidance in accordance with established USASMDC G6 Command Standards.
  • Secret Clearance Required

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite Tier I/II technical support to end users.
  • Respond to Help Desk service tickets within the required 2 core-hour response time.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot: Desktop and laptop computers, Notebooks, Thin/Zero Clients, Printers and Digital Senders, Network peripherals, Other end-user computing equipment.
  • Install and configure software and applications while ensuring systems comply with command-standard configurations.
  • Configure laptops, notebooks, and other IT systems for field and TDY use.
  • Provide in-person, telephone, and electronic technical assistance.
  • Document, track, monitor, and resolve Help Desk tickets using the Government's standardized ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot email, network, hardware, software, and peripheral equipment issues.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and escalate issues to appropriate technical personnel when necessary.
  • Work with software engineers, application development teams, and network personnel to restore service and identify root causes.
  • Support Microsoft Active Directory functions, including user account and network management.
  • Maintain system and equipment documentation, including applicable service-tag information.
  • Assist with equipment inventory and property accountability.
  • Recreate/simulate user problems to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical recommendations and guidance to users and management.
  • Identify recurring or significant technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Immediately report significant system, network, cybersecurity, COMSEC, remote-access, or other issues requiring higher-tier support.
