About The Position

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) investigates deaths in New York City to protect public health and serve impartial justice through forensic science and medicine. The OCME is seeking qualified candidates to fill a College Aide-Help Desk Technician position within the IT Department. This role will provide assistance with digitization projects and other administrative tasks. Requirements

• Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school.
• Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.
• Specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or closely related field.
• 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Selected candidates will be required to provide a DNA sample by swabbing.

Responsibilities

• Helpdesk/desktop support for hardware and software computer systems and peripherals.
• Support and setup audio/visual equipment and computers in several conference rooms and training rooms.
• Assist with IMAC's (Installs, Moves, Adds, & Changes) with the computer systems and peripherals.
• Assist in various departments with digitization projects and other administrative and essential tasks.
