About The Position

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a dedicated Help Desk Support Intern to join our Corporate IT team at our corporate headquarters in Frederick, Maryland. The intern will work a schedule of 9:00am - 3:30pm Monday-Friday and will be expected to work onsite daily.

Requirements

  • Candidates pursuing a degree in computer science in related field preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Frederick, MD.
  • A team player with a customer-oriented approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with .NET development strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for Windows operating systems and various software applications.
  • Provide on-site hardware support for the corporate office (including wireless displays, battery swaps for cameras, and printer support)
  • Assist in the provisioning and deployment of new hardware for users.
  • Assist Tier 1 team members with cleaning hardware before redeployment.
  • Assist Tier 1 team members with organizing hardware in the IT storage room.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service for all support requests.
  • Take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.
