About The Position

Customer Service Help Desk Specialist Remote, but must live within commuting distance of Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL, or Washington, DC. This is a TEMPORARY position which starts immediately and ends on January 30. The TEMPORARY Customer Service Help Desk Specialist handles customer inquiries received via email, telephone, postal mail, delivery services (i.e., UPS, FedEx), facsimile, or Federal government case management systems in a high-volume government processing center.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of work experience in a field or discipline that demonstrates analytical and communication skills, both orally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a help desk or call center environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use e-mail processing and databases to enter, track, and respond to incoming e-mail inquiries and phone calls requiring response.
  • Respond to electronic inquiries (e-mails from external and internal customers) in accordance with established policies and procedures and Federally approved scripts.
  • Answer and respond to telephone calls in a courteous, business-like manner, utilizing established policies and procedures and Federally approved scripts.
  • When necessary, conduct additional research and coordinate responses from government and other contractor staff to provide accurate, fully informed, and timely information.
  • Prepare a variety of documents, correspondence, and reports using word processing and database software.
  • Comply with program regulations, technical guidance, and standard operating procedures.
  • Work in a high-volume, high-pressure work environment with the ability to interact with people at all levels with a high degree of customer service and professionalism.
