About The Position

We are looking for a passionate staff member to step into the Sponsor role for Clark Middle School’s Help Club! The goal of this club is simple: give our middle schoolers a hands-on way to build leadership skills, foster kindness, and make Clark Middle School a warmer, more connected community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in education, social work, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working with middle school students in an educational or mentoring capacity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and a passion for fostering a positive school culture.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
• Familiarity with educational resources and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead regular meetings (one per week), ensuring an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.
• Develop and implement engaging activities that promote teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills among club members.
• Plan and execute service projects that encourage students to give back and develop a sense of social responsibility (birthday cards, food drive, etc.)
• Maintain accurate records of club membership, meeting minutes, and student participation.
• Serve as a liaison between the Help Club and school administration, advocating for student needs and interests.
