About The Position

The Help at Home Manager will hire, orient, supervise, and evaluate the Direct Care Support staff through home visits, observation, monitoring records, and under the direction of the Program Director – Help at Home.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required if candidate does not meet education request.
  • Three years of direct service experience working with the elderly and disabled required if candidate does not meet education request.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with clear, concise, and grammatically correct communication.
  • Ability to supervise staff.
  • Ability to accurately document client and homemaker activities and situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work preferred.
  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of community social service networks.
  • Knowledge of the aging process, sensitivity to the elderly and disabled population which includes their needs.
  • Knowledge of progressive discipline and willingness to initiate when appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision to Direct Care Support staff.
  • Monitor the performance of the Direct Care Support staff.
  • Conduct home visits to ensure quality care and service.
  • Conduct evaluations and ongoing training for staff development.
  • Solve problems and address issues as they arise.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of client and homemaker activities and situations.
