About The Position

Powderbird is seeking a full-time seasonal Heliport Steward. This position is responsible for helping prep, cook, and present breakfast and lunch to our guests. The typical schedule for this position is 8am-5pm five days a week, Tuesday - Saturday. This position will work along side the Chef. This position will typically start early-mid December and run through April (depending on snow).

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED equivalent required
  • Valid state issued driver’s license
  • Previous culinary experience is required
  • ServSafe Certification will be required
  • Committed to safety in all aspects of work
  • Ability to lift and carry loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on your feet for up to 12 hours a day
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • Must be able to hear normal conversations in a busy, crowded environment
  • Vision must be within normal range to work safely and to read written information
  • Must have the dexterity to use all equipment and utensils normally associated with the position

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the hospitality or resort industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Helps prepare, cook, and presents meals to Powderbird guests daily
  • Helps set up, restock, and break down dining area for meals, including refilling beverage coolers
  • Well versed in the making of a variety of food types
  • Ability to adapt & cater to specific requests
  • Consistently deliver high quality meals each day
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Dishwashing after meals
  • Wipe down tables, sweep, and mop
  • Overall organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of the Heliport, including guest and employee areas
  • Clean and restock restroom facilities
  • Other duties as assigned
