About The Position

Air Methods is seeking a Helicopter Pilot for Flight for Life Colorado, operating an AS350 under VFR. The pilot ensures the aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy for transporting medical crew and patients to receiving hospitals within an assigned operational area. The role requires compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, the Aeronautical Information Manual, the General Operations Manual, and Air Methods policies and procedures. The pilot has final authority over aircraft operations and the safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment. The position is based in Lakewood, Colorado, and includes 10% travel. Pay is based on flight and EMS experience, with a listed range of $82,900 to $93,251 per year. The posting also offers a sign-on bonus of $15,000 and an experience stipend of up to $12,000.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and two to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
