About The Position

The Mechanic will be responsible for maintenance and repair of Certarus vehicles
fleets at the company’s facilities. This position will report directly to the
Regional Operations Manager. The role will play a key role and help support shop
inventory, conduct diagnostic tests, assist technicians, as well as any other
maintenance related tasks.

SCHEDULE

Shop environment, with occasional regional travel between customer sites and
Certarus regional hubs
Normal working hours, with on-call hours as necessary

Requirements

• 3 – 5 years of experience in a mechanical technician role
• Associate of Applied Science, or technical training in diesel mechanics, automotive technology preferred
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and an ability to deal tactfully with a wide range of personalities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Class A CDL with Hazmat is an asset
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR and background check

Nice To Haves

• Class A CDL with Hazmat is an asset
• Associate of Applied Science, or technical training in diesel mechanics, automotive technology preferred

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with vehicles/equipment and scheduled repairs
• Performs diagnostics test, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs on company trucks and trailers
• Maintains equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades and per maintenance schedule
• Maintain parts inventory
• Operate a pallet jack or forklift
• Assists Regional Technicians in the field and shop personnel at Certarus regional facilities
• Perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Regional Manager or Supervisor
