About The Position
Heavy Skilled Production positions require advanced skills and experience in a production environment. Team members may use knives, hooks, saws, forklifts, or other processing and material-handling equipment, depending on the assigned position. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation. Examples of positions include: Ham Boners, Gutters, Head Droppers, Neck Bone Raisers, Rib Pullers, Mule Drivers, and Forklift Operators.
Requirements
- 6 months of work history with the same employer is required.
- This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
- Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Production experience in a meat-processing facility is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled processing tasks involving pork products, including cutting, trimming, deboning, and product handling.
- Safely operate knives, saws, forklifts, and other processing or material-handling equipment, as required by the position.
- Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures.
- Move, transport, and handle products and materials throughout the production process.
