About The Position

Toromont Cat is looking for a Heavy Rental Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a compensation range of $53,125.00 - $66,407.50, with potential for performance-based or discretionary bonuses. Requirements

• Post-Secondary Education with experience in a customer facing role
• Highly safety conscious with at least 5 years’ of hands on experience around heavy equipment
• Knowledge/experienced with heavy construction equipment product/industry an asset; Heavy Equipment Rental industry experience also an asset.
• A strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with all levels
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications
• Must be willing to travel within assigned region and elsewhere as required

Responsibilities

• Proactively prospect and qualify new accounts from existing accounts, dormant or completely new customers, including converting competitor accounts.
• Leverage Toromont Cat Branch Sales colleagues and leaders to facilitate “one stop shop” equipment needs for clients resulting in achievement or exceeding of growth objectives in your market.
• Prepare rental sales action plans and strategies leveraging our CRM resources and relevant branch colleagues to develop and execute A-Z on pipeline opportunities.
• Develop and make targeted presentations aligned to potential client needs (engage Toromont Cat Sales team and branch leaders as appropriate).
• Monitor competitors' activity (PINS), market conditions and product / service offering and development industry wide.
