About The Position

Primoris Energy Services is seeking experienced Heavy and Medium Equipment Operators for the Nexus APEX EPC Power Co. Project in Hubbard, TX. Requirements

  • One (1) to five (5) years of experience with all dirt work areas, including excavation, grade work, surveying, and final excavating work
  • Hands on leader
  • A basic understanding of how to read blueprints
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility & willingness to work in multiple positions to see the project completed as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace.
  • Adhere to job site safety requirements as required by the client
  • Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).
  • Pre-employment craft test, drug screen, physical, background check, and completion of safety training is a condition of employment.
  • Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
  • Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
  • Must be able to work outdoors and withstand different weather elements.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, bend, crawl, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, and crouch.

Responsibilities

  • Operates construction, excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment including backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, grade tractors, or forklifts.
  • Prepares construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation.
  • Uses excavating machinery to dig holes and trenches used in structural concrete.
  • Transports tools and other construction equipment to and from construction sites.
  • Uses equipment to prepare building sites for exterior site concrete such as parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, and loading docks.
  • Operates machinery used to build bridges, roads, and railroads.
  • Inspects and fuels vehicle prior to beginning shift.
  • Performs routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
