Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing heavy mechanical repairs on GM or similar vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrains
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems
  • Proficiency with OEM diagnostic tools and GM service information systems
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality workmanship
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
  • Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
  • Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • GM certifications preferred or willingness to obtain factory certifications through training

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth repairs and overhauls on engines, transmissions, differentials, and other major drivetrain components on GM vehicles
  • Diagnose mechanical failures and perform heavy mechanical repairs with precision and efficiency
  • Utilize OEM diagnostic equipment and technical resources to support complex repair work
  • Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate repair estimates and timelines
  • Ensure all repairs meet GM factory standards and warranty requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols
  • Keep up-to-date with factory training and certifications related to heavy mechanical repairs
