About The Position

This is a seasonal position, offering winters off for personal activities while benefits continue year-round. The role is responsible for operating and maintaining a lowboy to transport material to designated locations within a 150-mile radius of Sioux City, IA. The typical schedule is Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with Saturdays as needed (5-10 per season). Schedules may vary due to weather and customer demand. The starting pay is $24.85 per hour, with potential for more based on experience.

Requirements

• Class A required.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Hazmat and tanker endorsements, preferred.
• Previous truck driving experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre and post trip inspections.
• Maintains driver logs when applicable.
• Daily maintenance of equipment such as cleaning truck inside and out, greasing, oiling, brakes, lights and any other maintenance instructed to perform.
• Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment.
• Clean spilled material/buildup off box, belt, and gates.
• Verify that gates are closed.
• Discharge product.
• Maintain proper information in truck cab pouch.
• Report information accurately and completely on daily timecards, truck cab information and other needed paperwork.
• Maintain and support a safe and harassment free work environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written).
• Ability to read maps and navigate to new locations.
• Must be self-motivated, team-player with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive attitude and act courteous and respectful toward others.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and recognize matters needing attention and initiate action on that recognition.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and the public.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
