About The Position

Heavy Haul Dispatcher Working at Rosharon, TX SMARTER, SAFER & STRONGER Wherever there is growth, there is a need for energy, power, raw materials, and infrastructure. Mammoet is currently in need of a self-starting individual to join our Operations team at our Rosharon, TX or St. Gabriel, LA branch. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with one of the biggest Heavy Lift and Heavy Transport companies in the world. The role plans and executes mobilization and demobilization of personnel and project equipment for some of the largest projects in the region, to achieve an optimum utilization of resources to execute the work.

Requirements

At least Two (2) years of Heavy Haul/ Over Dimensional Freight
Must have knowledge in the Oil and Gas industries as well as port operations
Knowledge of transporting and proper securement of Project Freight, Over Dimensional, and Super Loads
Knowledge of different equipment types used for heavy haul trucking
Must know states permit guidelines and escort requirements.
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with computers and dispatch software, including SAP
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Knowledge within the FMSCA regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Dispatch, schedule, and manage drivers for pickup and deliveries of shipments
Maintain continuous communication with Drivers and Stakeholders to ensure a high-quality freight movement process
Understand and support Mammoet, SHE-Q and Business Policies and Procedures.
Optimizing routes with factors such as distance, traffic, and delivery schedules to maximize efficiency.
Maintain and update accurate information in company’s operating systems, tracking shipments to completion
Coordinating daily carrier activities with customers and operations team
Address and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation.
Ensure accurate and complete documentation for each shipment, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and other relevant paperwork.
Maintain records of all transactions, communications, and activities related to dispatching.
Stay informed about transportation regulations and ensure that all dispatch activities comply with local, state, and federal laws.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
Work in conjunction with Permit Coordinator
