About The Position

Earthborne, Inc. is seeking Traveling Field Service Technicians due to an increase in business. These positions involve traveling ninety-nine percent of the time to various locations, generally out-of-state for days or weeks at a time, to fulfill job requirements. Training will be provided one-on-one in the field with a senior technician. The role offers the opportunity to see new scenery daily while traveling around the country, with all travel expenses paid by the company. The working days are grouped together, allowing for a full week off while still receiving a salary. A sample schedule includes 3 weeks on the road with a 6-day work week, followed by one uninterrupted week off, with flexible schedule options available.

Requirements

• Customer service experience
• 3 years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment or similar
• Strong diagnostic skills
• Be willing to travel 3 weeks out of every month
• Good communications skills
• Competent with hand, air, and electrical tools
• Ability to consistently repair components and equipment in line with manufacturer's standards
• Must be self-motivated and trustworthy
• Ability to work independently and handle responsibility to make field decisions
• Own basic tools for equipment repair
• Efficiency in Microsoft Office (word/excel) is required
• Must have a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on tree care of forestry equipment is preferred
• Certified manufacturer training or willingness to complete company sponsored certification is a plus, but not required
• CDL is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Travel to field sites to fulfill job requirements
• Build relationships with customers
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Train operators on proper daily and periodic machine care, and operation of their machines
• Repair machines as needed
• Be the ‘face’ of Earthborne to our valued customers
• Service/maintain regular customers in accordance with long term service contracts. Most machines are seen four times a year
• Be willing to travel 3 weeks out of every month
