Requirements

3–5+ years of experience as a heavy equipment technician
Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
Proven ability to diagnose and repair equipment efficiently and independently
Experience with diagnostic software and modern repair tools
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
Comfortable with physical tasks including standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, and repair a wide range of heavy equipment, including wheel loaders, excavators, bulldozers, and forklifts
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, brake, and transmission systems
Utilize manufacturer diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues quickly
Perform routine and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and safety
Ensure all equipment meets DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
Maintain required certifications (brake inspections, annual inspections, A/C systems, etc.)
Manage work orders, track maintenance activities, and assist with parts sourcing and scheduling
Coordinate purchase orders (POs) with regional fleet teams
