As a Shop Technician, you will be working in the shop (with occasional work required outside in varying weather conditions) to repair, conduct maintenance, and address any customer concerns or questions regarding our fleet of John Deere equipment. Requirements

  • 1–3 years of mechanical experience on C&F equipment or similar required with willingness to continue learning as a mechanic.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong communication skill and self-motivated.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Service Technician or Mechanic certification preferred.
  • Valid, clean driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on equipment and established products as requested by the Service Manager and Service Writer.
  • Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
  • Maintains condition of shop, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
  • Complete dis-assembly and inspection, as efficiently as possible, so parts may be ordered and machine work can be scheduled promptly.
  • Maintain records and account for all time, parts, and supplies used in repairing and servicing both customer and dealership equipment.
