About The Position

CEDA is currently seeking 2 Heavy Duty Technician, Journeyman to join the Dredging and Fluid Management team in Fort McMurray, AB. This is a full time site-based opportunity with accommodation and flights provided. We offer a 14x14 rotation, night shift, with accommodations and flights provided. Safety is paramount, and we pride ourselves on watching out for one another and doing the work right the first time. You will work with an excellent team completing the majority of repairs in house, allowing for continuous growth and skill development.

Requirements

Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Red Seal required
CSO (Common Safety Orientation) required
Valid Class 5 license with less than 5 demerits
Weight handling of up to 50 lbs
Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Nice To Haves

Experience in hydraulic, electrical, dredge and pump systems an asset
Oil & Gas experience an asset
Knowledge John Deere, Cummins and CAT engines
Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems
Ability to provide your own tools

Responsibilities

Preventative maintenance on Stationary Diesel Engines, Hydraulic Systems, Trailer Units, Dredges, Barges & Marine equipment
Ongoing diagnostic and repair of diesel engines, after treatment/emissions, hydraulic systems and pumps
Troubleshoot issues, inspect equipment and replace or repair defective parts
Interpret work orders
Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled
Ensure all health, safety and environment practices and paperwork are complete for all day to day activities
Other duties as assigned
