Heavy Equipment Operator - PHOENIX
About The Position
Ludvik Electric Co. is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator for its Phoenix location. The company is a premiere electrical contractor in Arizona, Colorado, and Utah with a significant backlog of projects. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various large heavy equipment, including inspecting, providing preventative maintenance, and occasionally repairing equipment. This position has been designated as safety sensitive, requiring the employee's full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute all job responsibilities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with heavy equipment properly and safely
- Possession of a commercial driver's license, or willingness to obtain the license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong work ethic
- Physically able to lift 50+ pounds
Responsibilities
- Operates various pieces of large equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations
- Performs regular checks on the equipment functionality
- Documents regular maintenance checks to maintain adequate records of equipment performance
- Provides preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and operating properly
- Regularly cleans equipment to preserve its quality and functionality
- Performs minor repairs on equipment issues
- Reports needs for larger repairs to the appropriate parties
- Abides by all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as all company safety procedures
- Commits to the overall safety of the work environment by always taking extra precautions to work with the utmost care and consideration
