Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience with forklift operations
The ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check, are required
Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired for, work on-site and the ability to read, write, and speak English

Nice To Haves

Experience with backhoe, trackhoe, or other heavy equipment operations a plus
One year of hazardous waste industry experience is desirable
Working knowledge of DOT/RCRA regulations a plus

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, trackhoes, and forklifts.
Follow all regulations, standards, and internal policies, to ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
Perform preventive maintenance and keep equipment in safe working condition.
Assist with loading and unloading drums, roll-offs, and end dumps for off-site disposal.
Open, process, and label waste materials in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow standard operating procedures with minimal supervision.
Support area compliance and safety efforts, including documentation and reporting.
Cross-train in other departments to support solidification and stabilization processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
