Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating loaders, skid steers, and excavators.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Able to work in outdoor conditions year-round.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must be drug-free and submit to a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a landfill or construction environment.
  • Heavy equipment certification from CAT, John Deere, or a trade school.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate essential machinery, including front-end loaders, skid steers, and excavators.
  • Loading and unloading materials.
  • Managing stockpiles.
  • Supporting daily landfill operations while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
  • Conducting daily inspections of equipment.
  • Assisting with site maintenance.
  • Material placement.
  • Ensuring efficient traffic flow throughout the site.
  • Work closely with scale house attendants, mechanics, and site managers to streamline operations.
  • Travel between landfill locations as needed.
