Heavy Equipment Operator
About The Position
OKC Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety conscience Heavy Equipment Operator to join our GROWING team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role involves operating various heavy equipment for tasks such as spreading and compacting trash, excavating soil, maintaining roads, and hauling materials. The position offers a competitive hourly wage with overtime pay after 40 hours, a monthly safety bonus, and a schedule of 50-55 hours per week with a start time between 7:30 am and 9 am. Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
- 2 years of experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Spreading and compacting trash using a compactor
- Spreading daily cover using a Dozer
- Excavating soil using a excavator
- Maintaining haul roads using a grader
- Hauling soil with an articulated dump truck
- Work in a fast paced, team environment
- Follow safe operating practices
- Learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service
