About The Position

Milestone Equipment Contracting Inc is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders, to support the efficient execution of civil construction projects. Working closely with our construction crew, the Heavy Equipment Operator will play a key role in ensuring that equipment is utilized effectively and tasks are completed with precision and adherence to project specifications. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating heavy equipment in a civil construction setting and a commitment to upholding safety standards at all times. Requirements

Previous experience operating heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders, in a civil construction or similar setting is required.
Possession of relevant certifications, such as a Heavy Equipment Operator certification or equivalent, may be necessary.
Comprehensive understanding of equipment operation techniques, safety protocols, and construction principles relevant to civil construction projects.
Proficiency in operating and maneuvering various types of heavy equipment to perform tasks such as digging, grading, and moving materials accurately and efficiently.
Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to perform routine inspections, identify issues, and make minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
Effective verbal communication skills to communicate with supervisors, team members, and other personnel on construction sites.
Capacity to identify and resolve equipment-related issues and adapt to changing project requirements or conditions.
