About The Position

Rosemount Landfill, located in Rosemount, MN, has an immediate opening for a Heavy Equipment Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various heavy equipment, performing safety inspections, and working in a fast-paced environment under various weather conditions. All landfill employees are expected to promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices and perform miscellaneous job functions to promote the overall success of the site.

Requirements

• Experience operating scrapers, bulldozers, motor graders, and front-end loaders.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water level.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Capable of operating in a fast-paced environment and during all types of weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating trash compactors.

Responsibilities

• Operate scrapers, bulldozers, motor graders, and front-end loaders.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on equipment.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Operate in a fast-paced environment and during all types of weather conditions.

• Perform miscellaneous job functions to promote the overall success of the site.
