About The Position

Pioneer Crossing Landfill, J.P. Mascaro & Sons' primary disposal facility, is seeking a motivated self-starter for the role of Construction Heavy Equipment Operator. This position is fully onsite and located primarily at our Pioneer Crossing Landfill in Birdsboro, PA. J.P. Mascaro & Sons is a locally owned, private family company that has experienced significant growth since its founding in 1964. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have a valid driver’s license
Two (2) - Three (3) years’ experience operating heavy equipment
Strong understanding of construction operations and safety practices, with an emphasis on working safely around utilities and in tight spaces.
A comfort level working in all-weather outdoors and ability to work indoors
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

CDL preferred

Responsibilities

Performs duties involving shoveling, raking, luting, jack hammering, heavy lifting, and the use of multiple small tools.
Use of Track Hoes, Rollers, Pavers, Excavators and Skid Steers.
Cleans tools, materials, and work areas.
Communicate with crew members to ensure safety and efficiency.
Show up on time with a positive attitude ready for the workday.
Keep the onsite roads/surrounding area litter free.
Other duties/special projects as assigned.
