About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Palm Coast, Florida. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy machinery safely and efficiently while supporting construction, site development, excavation, utility, and earthmoving projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of heavy equipment operating experience.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
Nice To Haves
- CDL License.
- Experience with GPS machine control systems (Topcon, Trimble, etc.).
- Underground utility installation experience.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and skid steers.
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation work.
- Read and interpret project plans, grade stakes, and job specifications.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete maintenance reports.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Work closely with project supervisors and crew members to meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Identify and report equipment issues promptly.
